What is PFPro?

The PFPro system, comprising two separate applications working together, is the first computer programme on the Polish market which supports liquidity management. It is directed to local governments.

Key functions of the programme:

The main function of the programme and the effect of its application is a liquidity forecast for management purposes. Using data input the programme will generate a liquidity forecast for a given period, which in turn will be the basis for performance of suitable operations so as to retain the desired cash balance in the banking account.

The PFPro system makes it possible:

  • to input data about expected revenues and expenses in organizational units (budgetary units, budgetary enterprises, institutions of culture, departments of the local government, etc.)
  • to transfer the data electronically to the central unit which is responsible for liquidity management (e.g. Financial Department, City Treasurer)
  • to generate forecasts for a given period automatically, for the whole municipality, based on forecasts of the units.

The programme may serve as:

  • a tool supporting the transfer of financial means to organizational units (budgetary units or budgetary enterprises). The information provided by the units for the purpose of liquidity management may be the basis for transfer of cash by the Financial Department.
  • a tool supporting operations on the financial market. The programme allows the user to simulate short-term loans incurrence contracted to finance transitional financial deficit or deposits in the periods when a financial surplus is expected.

Additional advantages

PFPro has a friendly user interface and the information is presented in a transparent manner. The additional feature is the possibility to export the data in MS Excel, HTML or text format, further process the data and use in reports, presentations or place on websites.
